A side event is any networking, party, dinner, mastermind or social gathering that happens around (rather than inside) a conference's main program. Think welcome drinks, boat trips, rooftop mixers and official afterparties. Side events are often where the most valuable connections happen — away from the expo floor and keynote stage.
The biggest scenes are around Affiliate World (Cancún, Bangkok, Dubai), SiGMA retreats and summits, TES Affiliate Conference in Prague, and PI LIVE Europe in London. Affiliate World Cancún and SiGMA's Cancún retreat are especially famous for their beach parties, catamaran trips and afterparties.
